CHANGE ACCOUNT A PAYMENT WAS MADE FROM

Hi All up until just last week i was able to go in to account right and change the account a payment was made from ( savings/Credit card) once processed through our own linked software. now when i go in to veiw transaction and modify that the payment was made via credit card rather than bank account all i can do is reverse this payment why the change? and is there a way around this as i do not want the payments showing as  reversed and then have to add the data to my credit transactions it seems quiet the messy way to go about it.

    Generally speaking, you can update the pay from account on Pay Bills and Spend Money transactions by opening the transactions and updating that Pay from account. 

    However, these would be the common things that would prevent that access:

    • Setup>>Preferences>>Transactions Can't be Changed, They Must be Reversed is enabled
    • The payment transaction has been included in an Electronic Payment i.e. the electronic payment option is enabled
    • User access prohibits the ability to edit a transaction  but making that section Read Only
    • The transaction was involved in a Supplier deposit situation.
