Import Spend Money Error 19

Hi There,

I have previously had success in importing Spend Money transactions. However, I am now getting error message 19 (unbalanced transaction) for this.

Could you please review my template and let me know what needs to be edited?

  • Hi SNoss,

    Thanks heaps for attaching the Excel file! I can't pinpoint the exact problem, but typically, the "unbalanced transaction" error pops up when the totals for a transaction don't match up. This often happens if the sum of the line items isn't the same as the total amount listed. Make sure the debit and credit amounts in your import file are balanced and the data's formatted right. I'd suggest using an import template and having a look at this related post that might help sort out the issue.

    Cheers

    Hi SNoss , if you are importing to current versions of AccountRight on the desktop, normally your file requires a pair of braces in the first line, like so: {}

    But I think the columns in your file are designed for importing to v19 files, which uses field names like Ex-Tax Amount and Inc-Tax Amount.  Can you clarify which program you are using?

    See Import and export fields for the import fields for Spend Money transactions in the current AccountRight versions.
