Product Category % Sales

Hi

We group products under Categories.

 

eg  Bedroom, Toilet, Seating

 

We would like to know how to run a report to show what is the total % of sales for that category.

 

I have had a look, but cant seem to do what I want. 

eg Sales Analyse - Additional Filter - select Category - only shows Total $ Sales not % 

 

 Is this doable?

    To find the percentage of Product Category sales ($35,000) out of the total sales ($1,000,000), you can use the following formula:

     

    (Product Category Sales / Total Sales) * 100

    So, in this case:

    ($35,000 / $1,000,000) * 100 = 3.5%

    Hi activemobility,

     

    To run a report showing the total percentage of sales for each product category in MYOB, you can use the % Margin feature. You can add the % Margin to the report by using the insert/modify option before running the report. This will give you a percentage that reflects the margin for each category.     Yes I had already looked at that, but how I read it, the %Margin shows the margin %. 

     

    If the Product Category sales are say $35000, and total sales are $1000000, what percentage is the $35000

    PS yes I know how to do this manually, I was hoping a MYOB report would do it for me!
