Reports not balancing

Our balance sheet values as of today do not equal "this years figures" on the Balance Sheet (last year analysis)

so to reiterate: we are not getting a true analysis of this year to last year figures

any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

  • Hi RGAC

You mentioned that you are running the Balance Sheet as of today's date. This would limit the report to only include transactions up to that date. So if you have a transaction dated in the future this would not be able included in that "Standard" Balance Sheet but will in the Balance Sheet Analysis [Last Year Analysis] report, which is showing it for the full year.

If it was me, I would run the Balance Sheet for the last day of the financial year and check to see if those values do match. If they do match then you do have that future dated transaction affecting the balance. The Future Dated Transactions report - Reports>>Accounts>>Exceptions>>Future Dated Transactions - would be able to assist with showing you those transactions (do run it with Today's date).

Let us know how you get on and if you require further assistance.
