Annoying mannual login required every day

It's so annoying and silly that MYOB now even removed the "trust for 30 days", where we have to manually input both email address and password every single day.

The silly thing is that the "trust device for 12 hours" function is used as an advantage.

How do developers feel about manually login all systems you use every day?

Live chat said that the removal of trust for 30 days is as per users' request. This is even more silly. the need to log in every 30 days was already a competitive DISADVANTAGE compared with other accounting systems which auto-login can be set up at the beginning of users' journey. Instead of fixing it, MYOB made it even worse by removing it.

Currently: input of BOTH email and password is required everyday

No setting to remember email at least

No setting to custom login setting to allow users to personalize the trust on the device

When some users don't need to "trust for 30 days", they could easily opt to not use that function and request "do not remind". But MYOB, on this occasion, removes this optional function for ALL users without considering the inconvenience of other users and leaves us no option but to take on this INCONVENIENCE.

Hi Jo15 , I'm confirming with our team about a response on this for you.
I have mentioned previously that we work alongside the ATO when developing and implementing changes to align with their guidelines.
There are a lot of scenarios that the ATO need to provide information for in their guidelines, however for MYOB because we are a SaaS business these are the guidelines we adhere to as a DSP.
I expect that it is because our software has the capability of connecting to the ATO for payroll and BAS, therefore must adhere to the security guidelines, even if those workflows are not being used by the end user.
If I receive an update from the team that differs from the above or can shed any more information, I will be sure to updated you.

I've just experienced this for the first time today after 1 hour of being 'inactive' I dared to do other components of my job that don't require MYOB.  The 2FA is already painful, I want the option to trust this device for 30 days back so I can stop wasting my time entering email address and passwords multiple times a day.  It's particularly annoying having to do it when MYOB crashes (almost daily) It's enough to make me choose another profession!

I agree. MYOB has crashed about twice today and then having to login again after leaving MYOB inactive for more than 20 minutes is ridiculous.

    Hey bh31 TracyKaye

We are aware of issues customers are facing trying to open their files. We have temporarily disabled the inactivity timeout for AccountRight while we look into this and you will need to restart AccountRight to pick up the change. At this point we are unsure if it's related to the inactivity changes but will make sure to update you as soon as I have more information.

Yes, surely we the users should be able to decide on our own security requirements.  I work from home and no-one else has access to my computer!

MYOB please go back to trust for 30 days.
