Change of Surname for a User

Hi,

 

Is there a simple way to update the Surname of a User in MYOB Accountright?  I have gone into the User Access Menu to look at the 'Manage Users' area and can't update it in there.  I have checked the Help menu and it's telling me to deactivate the user and then add them again with their new surname.  Just wondering if that will cause issues, as their email remains the same?

    Hey Kawana,

     

    The Help menu’s spot on. There’s no direct edit option for usernames, so you’ll need to either deactivate or delete their access. If you'll use the same email address, deactivating won’t cut it. Instead, deleting the user’s access is the clean slate you need, letting you set them up anew with their updated username and keeping the email intact. Check out this link for steps on how to delete the user access.
