Winding business down - are there any options im missing outside of cancelling my subscription ?

Hi all,

            as per the title - i've been winding my business down for a few years - and im at the point where the expense for MYOB is no longer justified. 

 

I asked a question a while back about a "cheaper" option - but based on this (below), there is no cheaper option.

Anyhoo - so my remaining option seems to be to cancel my subscription - and its not quite clear what happens once i cancel my subscription.

1) If i take my company file offline, can i still use the company file in read/write mode? (i dont need to do much, but there may be an occasional entry i need to make)

2) if the answer to the above is no - can i change over to a montly subscription and only pay for a month here or there when i do need access to the file ?

    Thank you for your post.

     

    If you will be cancelling your account, make sure to take a back up of your file. You can still use your file as an offline file and as read only. MYOB products invoices is a monthly subscription and this is a continuous payments until you're going to cancel your account subscription. Not only when you are accessing your file. 

     

    You may refer to our website for cheaper products you might consider.

      Really? you marked this as the solution on my behalf - even though it doesn't answer my question ?

       

      And direct me to look at other product options, even thought i've already done so - and posted the link as evidence of this.

       

      Please un-mark your non-answer as the solution so other people may potentially answer the question.

    Thank you for your response.

     

    To answer your questions:

    1. If you back up your file and restored the back up to your AccountRight library, you have the full access in your offline file. However, some features won't be available such as live services (Super, STP, bank feeds and etc.)

    2. We cannot set up your account into seasonal subscription or to when you will be accessing your file. MYOB product is a recurring subscription, this will only stop when you request to cancel your account subscription.
