There has been no update provided by MYOB since May re: the rules that are used and automatically applied in the desktop version carrying over to the online version.
Please provide an update on how this is progressing.

Thanks for your post. This is currently still with our teams and being investigated, however the team have mentioned to check if the bank feed rule tax field is set to default, if it is the field may be empty in the browser bank feed rule function. I've attached a screenshot below:
They have advised to edit the bank feed rule in the browser and add the tax code.
