Online payments - Customise invoice

Hi Myob Team,

Online payments have been set up, and I would like to generate customer invoices in MYOB AccountRight that include online payment options such as credit card and QR code payments. Could you please guide me by step on how to customise the invoice template to include these online payment options? I have already customised the invoice in the MYOB browser version and everything works correctly there, but in MYOB AccountRight, the online payment options are not appearing on the invoice even though I have tried several time. Also, why if I already customised the invoice in Myob browser it does not displaying in Myob AccountRight?

I found this from online payments search:

"No matter how you invoice your customers, they'll be able to pay you online. So if you prefer to download an invoice as a PDF and email it to your customer – and you've set up online payments – they can still view and pay the invoice online. A QR code is automatically added to your invoice when you print it or export it as a PDF. When the customer scans this QR code using their phone, they can view the online invoice and easily pay it online."

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

    Hi JCAM,

Once Online Payments is turned on, you don’t need to add the Pay now/QR code to the AccountRight form yourself. The system automatically:

    • Adds a Pay now button to the online invoice
    • Adds a QR code when you print or download the invoice as a PDF, so customers can scan it and pay online.

The custom template you set up in the browser doesn’t sync to AccountRight, browser uses “sales templates”, AccountRight desktop uses separate “forms”. In AccountRight you just need to:

    • Go Sales > Print/Email Invoices > Advanced Filters.
    • Pick the correct Sales Type and choose your preferred Selected Form for Sale.

From there, when you print/download that invoice, the QR and online payment options will appear for the customer automatically.

    Regards,

    Sai

  • Hi Sai,

    Thanks for your response.

The issue that I experiencing occurs when I send the invoice to a client from AccountRight. While the online payment functionality itself is working correctly, the attached invoice (print/download version) does not display the online payment options such a credit card details and QR code.

Specifically, when the client clicks on the "view full invoice" tab to view or download the invoice, those online payment options are not visible on that version. It appears that the online payment options are not automatically displayed in the print or download version of the invoice.

Thanks for your assistance with this matter.

    Hi JCAM

Thanks for adding a bit more detail with the QR code; that really helps.

At the moment, the QR code only shows on PDFs that use the Standard invoice template. If the invoice is printed or downloaded from a customised template, the QR and Pay now panel will not come through, even if online payments are turned on. To get the QR on the PDF, switch that sale to the Standard invoice template when you print or download, or send it from the browser using the standard layout.

If you are already on a Standard template and it still is not showing the QR code, it is best to reach out to our support team. You can log a ticket from the My Account window or chat with our team through MOCA, our virtual assistant, so they can have a deeper look.

    Regards,

  • Thank you for your assistance. I understand that invoices need to be sent by browser using the standard layout. However, when I tried sending invoices through the MYOB browser version during a test, it did not work.

Could you please advise on the correct set up and provide the steps required in MYOB to send the invoices from MYOB browser directly.
