Bank transaction

I am trying to create a bank rule to split Insurance into different amounts to various GL accounts, but it only allows me to allocate the full amount to 1 GL account.

How can I split the transactions into various amounts when creating a bank rule?

Thank you for your post, I'd like to extend you a warm welcome to the Community Forum, I hope you find it a valuable resource.

Within MYOB you can create a rule to split based on a percentage. Under Banking>>Manage Rules you can create a rule for these types of transactions. Under the allocate to section you have the option to allocate by either percentage.

When you split transaction using a rule, you can nominate both accounts and different tax code for those transactions. If you were unsure to which account or tax code to use, I recommend speaking to your accountant.

Unfortunately the reply did not help, as I do not want to split the amount by percentage but into specific amounts.

The bank rule does not allw you to split an amount to different amounts but only one full amount or by percentages.

      Is that correct?

        Hi SandraN

Thanks for sharing updates on the issue.

Generally speaking MYOB can create rule based on the Percentage. You can check on this Help Article: Creating Rules. This article has more information when creating rules.
