Last reconciled balance incorrect

Question

I reconciled my account and all was correct. When I went to do the next month, the last reconciled balance was different. The balance sheet matches the Account Balance on the bank rec.

I did the bank recs last quarter and the December report was accurate with the last reconciled balance being $136.23 (same as account balance). After processing accounts for the March quarter, the January rec was correct but when I did the Feb one, I noticed the last rec amount was different.

When I ran a report for the Dec rec, the last reconciled amount had changed to 253.83.

Obviously I have done something wrong but can't find the discrepancy or how to fix it. I have undone reconciliations and the problem goes back to July 2024 (and probably before).

How do I fix this?

It's best to do your reconciliations in sequence, like doing January before March. Doing them out of order could be why your bank balance isn't showing the correct amount. I recommend following the steps from the accepted solution in this link, as it usually fixes balance issues that appear after previous successful reconciliations.

I do them in order, just undid them to December.&nbsp; I checked my new December report with the rec that I did in December (hard copy) and saw the difference.
