Issues with Payroll csv and having to split payment runs

Hi,

We use SIMPRO for timesheets that we upload to MYOB as a csv file. We have 62 hourly paid staff and 1 salaried staff. The csv file is around 60kb. Payroll is completed weekly.

Using the online MYOB we get the attached error message when we attempt to create one pay run for all staff.

We end up doing 4 pay runs then create 1 wage payment and 1 bank file to upload to our bank.

This is an issue that the company has had for several years. There have been several attempts with MYOB to reach a solution, but to no avail.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Lesley

    Hey LesleyMCTG,

Running weekly payroll for a crew of 63 via SIMPRO CSV shouldn’t mean juggling four smaller pay runs. We’re across an issue in MYOB Business where the “Something went wrong” message fires when a pay run includes three or more employees. No worries, your account is now on the list of affected users so you’ll get updates as we move on the fix. Whilst the team investigates the root cause, below is a handy workaround for you.

    • Open any employee record.
    • Head to Payroll details, open the Leave tab and click Save. This is to refresh the background data so the pays can be recorded.

If the message still appears after that, make sure clear your browser cache.

    Cheers,

    Doreen
