Payroll reporting to ATO

Does anyone have any idea why not all my payruns are reporting to ATO - so far this year 4 fortnightly payruns have not reported to ATO, they are processed in exactly the same way as the other fortnightly payruns? They appear in the payrun history, but not on ATO reporting schedule, or in ATO site for PAYG?

    Hi NickiSEA25

It's a bit odd when some pay runs decide to go off the grid, isn't it?

If those 4 fortnightly pay runs have been processed and you've got newer ones that have already been accepted by the ATO, you can send through an update event. That'll often give everything a little nudge and help line things up again. After that, it's worth checking your payroll reports and the ATO portal just to see if they've fallen back into place.

Now, if you're seeing "Not Sent" in the STP window, no stress! That status won't change, and it's completely fine as long as your payroll reports are spot on and they match what's in the ATO portal. Nothing to worry about there.

But if those pay runs are still playing hide and seek on the ATO portal even after the update event, your best bet is to reach out to our live chat support through our virtual assistant, MOCA, or submit a case via MyAccount. The team's super helpful and can dig a bit deeper for you.

    Regards,

    Sai
