Single Touch Payroll

Question

I have an Employer who has been paying a car allowance to an employee ever fortnight. The amount appears in the Annual Payroll Summary from MYOB but it doesn't appear in the STP Final Report or on the employees Payment Summary. In short it appears as though amount has not been reported in the fortnightly STP report to the ATO. It appears that the classification was incorrect.

Any suggestions as to how to fix this problem.

The fix is usually pretty simple. Check the ATO reporting category for the car allowance and make sure it’s set to the correct category. Here's a link for that. Once that’s updated, send an update event, which will refresh the figures and ensure everything is properly reported to the ATO. This should get those missing amounts included where they belong.
