MYOB is showing Super as unpaid.
Not all Business Owners will use MYOB to pay Super - in fact none of my Clients do.
The Pay Super button is a good idea.
The Unpaid Super Column can be confusing.
Payday Super means more Business Owners will need to access MYOB themselves (this may cause problems). Many of my Clients do not want to (indeed have never) opened MYOB.
Previously, I did monthly/quarterly Financials (reconciled all Balance Sheet Accounts) and advised Business Owners of the Super Payable.
The ATO legislation regarding OTE (now QE) has changed over many years.
How is a Business Owner expected to know what Leave Payments have SG and which do not?
Recall watching a ATO Webinar where a discussion was held where Micro businesses could pay SG monthly after Accountant/BAS Review. The ATO has not advised.
It is fair to say that the Labor Government appears not to have considered the time and effort and knowledge required to run a small business.
Wholistically Payday Super is fine - implementation and the short time frame is certainly problematic for small business owners.
