Incorrect reporting of Super

Hi I have an employee who salary sacrifice extra super. My issue is the extra super has been paid to his super fund each month but doesn't show up on his Summary of payments as Salary sacrifice (RESC) because the Contribution type was set up as an Employee Additional (deduction) & not Salary Sacrifice.  I have not sent ther payroll data to the ATO yet.  can this be fixed for the 25/26 year?

    Thankyou Princess for your answer .. much appreciated.  I decided to chat with the employee & it was decided to leave as is for 25/26.  I have fixed this for 26/27 by setting up a new Super Salary Sacrifice in the Category List & also unticking all employees from the old incorrect setup.

    Hi JBK7,

     

    This one’s a bit tricky since it relates to your employee’s setup. It should still be fixable, but it’d be a good idea to check with your accountant on the best way to correct those payments. From MYOB side, the usual fix is to reverse and reprocess the affected pay runs once the correct salary sacrifice setup is in place. You can also check out this link for more info on setting up the extra super correctly.
