Bulk email invoices Account Right Desktop to MYOB Business

I posted the below message 5 months ago. I received a reply from Janes at support saying that MYOB were looking into this problem. I have recently sent some test emails in MYOB Business when transferring from desk top Account Right to online MYOB Business. They appear to work but I would like some confirmation from MYOB . Would someone be able to advise me on this matter? I have been individually emailing 165 invoices each month via the desk top Account Right. It will be a big improvement if this can be done switching the same entity to on line from desk top to do this.

I have 3 companies I look after. 1 is exclusively on line MYOB Business and NZ based the other 2 are desk top Account Right and Australia based. I can easily bulk email out invoices with the exclusive on line MYOB Business N Z based entity. Now I know I cannot bulk email invoices from desktop Account Right as I do it individually. I know I can switch back and forth with my 2  desktop Account Right entities and on line MYOB Business. But when I switch the desk top entities to on line MYOB Business I would have thought that the bulk email of invoices would work for these entities but it does not. Does it not work in online MYOB business because these entites are also used in desktop Account Right and can this issue be resolved so that I can switch to online MYOB Business in order that invoices in the Account Right entities can be bulk emailed out?     Thanks for explaining your setup and how the bulk emailing affects your workflow. You’re not missing anything. Bulk emailing from the Invoices list works for files that are fully MYOB Business online. For your two AccountRight desktop companies, even though you can open them in a browser, they currently only support sending invoices one‑by‑one there. The bulk email option isn’t available yet and has been logged as an enhancement. In the meantime, you’d need to bulk send from AccountRight desktop or email individually from the browser.

      Hello Genreve.

      Here is the interesting thing. Today in desk top Account Right March 9th I created 5 new customers each with different email addresses. I then created an invoice for each customer. I then logged out of desk top Account Right and logged into  MYOB Business in the same entity. I then selected those 5 invoices and emailed them from MYOB Business. All emails were received at the selected email address. I then selected the statements for these accounts and they also were emailed successfully.

      Does this mean that the enhancement now works. Would you be able to confirm this for me?

      I also believe you can only bulk send a certain number of invoices in the one function. is it 20 ?

        I emailed the 5 invoices from my lap top and then again using my tablet and they were successfuly emailed each time. But I would still like some confirmation  about the enhancement from your tech people.

    I will further clarify that this was from a lap top and I will try to do the same tomorrow from my tablet and see if it works.

      Hi Jeffrey1

       

      Thanks for checking back in. Based on how MYOB Business works now,  and what’s in our current help notes, bulk emailing invoices from Sales > Invoices is a standard feature for MYOB Business, even for files that have been moved from AccountRight. Your recent test emails follow that supported workflow, so this is no longer a limitation in the current product.

       

      We don’t have a separate public note that literally says “enhancement completed”, but the live behaviour and our help article on emailing/printing sales show that bulk emailing in MYOB Business is now the expected way to do this.
