Setting the invoice (and other document) numbering format

Question

I see here&nbsp;that it seems to be possible, with some effort, to teach MYOB how to number invoices. In MYOB Business (Lite) in particular, how much can be taught? This is difficult to experiment with because the results are not readily visible.&nbsp;Can I specify an alternate format? For example "INV0001", "INV0002" etc.? Failing that, can I just reduce the number of digits? All those zero's are hard to read, and not very distinctive.

Thanks for your post. The invoice numbering will only remember numbers, so it won't retain the additional letters of INV. Also, invoice numbers do need to be 8 characters long and so leading zeros will be added if the Auto # is overwritten with less than 8 digits.
