Inventory Items
Within my Inventory:
- Item Number field and
- Name
I'm limited to 30 characters. This is inadequate for the Item code within the Item Number field but more particularly, it is completely inadequate for the Name description. I often need 50 characters for an explanation of the product for my customers to properly understand what they receiving and that it has been invoiced correctly.
An example:
Penfolds 2022 Bin 138 Shiraz Grenache Mourvedre - 47 characters
It's possible to abbreviate however, it often looks unprofessional and confuses a customer.
I was told today by April from MYOB Technical that both these fields are indeed limited to 30 characters and there is no way for a User to increase the size.
When you look at both fields as they appear on the input screen, the field box looks like it could take approx 50 characters but both stop at 30
So too with the space (variable) on an invoice A4 portrait layout, there would be plenty of room for a 50 character description to remain on one line within the 'Name' field
I would like to see both fields increased to 50 characters
