Unable to select correct period to file GST return

When I go to file the GST return via MYOB, I'm unable to select the correct period end (May 2025) from the dropdown:

Incidentally, all the available dates are prior to the first GST return I filed with MYOB (which was for the period 1/8/24-30/9/24). Seems like somebody released a bug. What can I do to file the return?

  • Hi AoteaStudios,

If you can't see the current filing periods, it might be because your financial year or GST settings are off. No worries, though—you can double-check and update these in your business settings. For more info, check out this link. Also, if you haven’t rolled over your financial year yet, that could be the reason too.

    Cheers,

    Hi Nurseryman

If you’re having trouble finding the date correct option even after making sure the date of your file is in the current financial year,  the best move is to get in touch with our support team so we can help you sort it out.

You can pop a support ticket through the MyAccount window, or just jump on live chat with our team via MOCA.

  • Im having the same issue. It does not show May 2025 period end in the drop down. Only shows certain 2023 years.

This is usually not the case.  Please fix

    Hi mikeykhoo,

Thanks for the screenshot provided. If you can’t see the May 2025 filing periods, it might be because of your financial year or GST settings. Just double-check and update these in your business settings, or check if you haven’t rolled over your financial year yet. If you’re still stuck after checking, it’s best to give our team a buzz through our virtual assistant MOCA or drop a support ticket via MyAccount, we’ll help you get it sorted.

    Regards,

    Shella

    Hi Nurseryman

I had the same issue but got it sorted.

Just go to your business setting (under the "gear icon - top right" and make sure your FY is 2025.  If not click on the start new FY year link to start a new FY year.   It worked for me.
