BANK REC NOT WORKING

Bank rec fine last week. Then not sure if coincidence but I ran the latest update.  Bank rec now out.  Unreconciled back a few months and have re reconciled.  Got to 3 Feb and all transactions for 3rd and 4th Feb are not on the bank rec.  They are however in the general ledger. I chose one and deleted it and reentered it - that didn't work, it made the difference double that amount.  MYOB suggested changing on of the transactions by adding a . to the memo. That didn't work. MYOB suggested reconcile a future date and then unreconcile.  That didn't work. I have spent so far 4 hours on the phone to help desk and not getting anywhere.  Any ideas please?

Check the dates in the general ledger - check the year , mistakes can be made especiall at the change of year

If they are in the general ledger they exist

Are they unreconciled but out of sight - change date to 2099 and see if they come up then

If you cant figure this out can you send some screen shots of general ledger trans

Perhaps they are in an incorrect bank account or undeposited funds

    Hope these suggestions help

Thanks Lisa.  I eventually called again on Saturday after not receiving the scheduled call back they had organised :(  That tech ran a backup and then we went into the file and my issues were all resolved.  He said that sometimes running a function that is run by the ''system'' fixes little glitches.  So I'll this to my arsenal of things to try when MYOB stuffs up on me :)

I'm with you everytime we get an update my bank rec's are out and previously reconcilled entries are now not reconilled. I'm not sure how to get around this. It's driving me nuts and i'm not sure how it happens.
