Duplicated invoice templates in recurring trans

I have a client that has sales templates with 3 versions in recurring transactions.  I have checked the schedules and this has no reason.  

This has occurred to multiple customers.

Eg.  Customer 1

1. Original template now shows "to be printed" and has last posted and next due date
2. 2nd template "to be emailed" only has next due date NO last posted
3. 3rd template "to be emailed" only has next due date NO last posted
