Item register detail report - showing incorrect values

Item register (detail) report showing -1 qty and -$ compared to the item register windoe and item (sumarry) report for the same item! 

how can myob show different values for the same item across different reports! 

Customer service has been no help! We keep getting the run around.

We have had nothing but issues with Auto Builds and COGS not being shown or reported - i have spent countless hours having to recost and re-enter all autobuilds.!

 

Can someone from MYOB please actually help us - "scripts" have supposidly been run which have had no result in fixing issues!

    Hi Pro-Am_KP 

     

    While some of their scripts will fix specific issues (some long decimals and some bizarre on hand counts) they rarely address/affect existing transactions, including transactions processed using the incorrect values.

     

    The transactions need to be analysed and corrected. The images provided indicate a problem with the Register Detail report. These are common and errors are caused by a number of things (including but not limited to  the use of locations). Some times one invoice with multiple lines for same item will cause an issue. Ignore.

     

    The key 'report' is the Inventory Value Reconciliation Report - this shows the 'real' on hand count and value MYOB is using in the background. If these are wrong, the best way to fix is via an Inventory Adjustment Journal.

    Hi Pro-Am_KP , the item register screen has been a long-standing issue. The running value balance on the screen is often incorrect, but the item detail report is usually correct, unless you have multiple locations - do you?

     

    If you have issues with both these, then most likely MYOB will have a script to run across your file. Getting support just atm might be slow, but the chat line might be an option?

     

    Can you explain more about the autobuild issues. If your autobuild report shows NA and not costs, that's another issue which a script can resolve.

    Hi Mike,

     

    We only run one location.

     

    So which report am i supposed to follow? Item Register (detail) report is the one that is showing negative values while the item register window and item register (summary) report are showing the correct values at $0 and 0 on hand?

     

    We have had nothing but issues with this software and our autobuilds - currently have spent weeks having to recost and re-list autobuilds and so many inventory adjustments to get stock levels back and current values back against the individual compnents.

    Hi Pro-Am_KP , in this case the report is incorrect, which is rare in my experience. I would look to MYOB to run their multiple inventory scripts first, then see how it looks.

    Oh trust me i have tried to get MYOB to run something!

    They say they will then nothing changes - just like this mornings episode with them!

    Im constantly being told to call or register which i do and i either recieve a run around of no help OR we are told someone will be in contact in which they never do.

     

    The frustrating part - these inventorty issues are costing our business alot of $

    P&L is showing higher profits due to the COGS issues MYOB has which results in a higher tax bill.

    Thanks ill have a look - inventory register ect are showing correctly except that one report which is what has me puzzled - its an auto build item and is only built to when an order comes in, we do not keep the built item pre-built and instock.
