Hey Paulas,
Yes, it's true that transactions built up can slow certain functions. It's recommended to regularly maintain these queues fast performance. If you prefer not to have transactions build up in the print or email queue, you can set them to automatically not go to these queues. Either set the delivery of the transaction to Already Printed or Sent. Make sure to check this link for more information.
Best regards,

Hi Paulas
As indicated by Doreen_P large numbers of transactions will slow certain functions such as reports and invoice processing etc.
However having a transaction in a print queue, will not slow other functions such as reporting or invoice processing - it will only slow loading the print queue. This is because this is not a 'transaction', it is simply a flag in an existing transaction, telling MYOB whether to display the transaction or not.
When there are so many transactions in your file that you notice processing gets slower and slower, it might be time to consider a 'purge' to remove old closed transactions. This is the only way to reduce a file size and improve performance.
Regards
Gavin
