Ability to take old base hourly payroll category off a standard pay

When you have an employee change their base hourly payroll category part way throughout the year, within the standard pay, you cannot take the weekly base hours off the old payroll category. If you miss it each week, you pay the employee double their normal weekly pay. Is there a way this can be changed or have an inactive select on a payroll category?

    Hi KaraD1

Thank you for your post. I'd like to extend you a warm welcome to the Community Forum. I hope you find it a valuable resource.

As for your concern, could you please try to zero out the old base hourly category, so that it would only show the amount for the new base hourly category.

Please do let me know how you go with this.

Thanks for your reply. Can you please clarify by when you refer to "zero out old base hourly category"? '

Are you referring to the standard pay in the card file? Or are referring to all the historical amounts to the base hourly category? This person has been employed since 2019, so its a fare chunk and wouldn't his effect the single touch payroll & PAYG summary?
