Adding more than one superannuation fund per employee in AccountRight

Are you able to add more than one superannuation fund per employee in AccountRight? My employee has an industry fund for Super Guarantee contributions and a SMSF for Salary Sacrifice.

    Hi Sam_L,

You can set up more than one super fund for your employee in AccountRight, so you’re all good to have their Super Guarantee go to the industry fund and Salary Sacrifice head to their SMSF. Just pop both funds into their profile and switch to the SMSF before paying the salary sacrifice bit. You may check these articles below for the guide with this.

    Hi Sam_L,

Awesome question! You can't set up two super funds in the one employee card. By default, it'll only let you have one. But if the employee's got both an APRA fund and an SMSF, the way to go is to set up a salary sacrifice category. Then when you process payroll, pop the Super Guarantee amount in the SG field, and the SMSF amount in the salary sacrifice field. When you head into the Pay Super window, you'll need to do it in two steps. Process the APRA (regular super) first. Then jump back into the employee card, swap the fund over to the SMSF, and process the salary sacrifice from there.

    Regards,

    Sai

    Thanks Shella.

If you are using MYOB Pay Super, do you mean complete a super pay run using the Super Guarantee fund first, then switch the fund to the SMSF and complete a second super pay run?
