ATO ERROR CODE: CMN.ATO.PAYEVNTEMP.000290

I keep trying to change to old payruns to balance out discrepencies by MYOB.

I have no idea how to fix this error of an OLD EMPLOYEE on a working holiday visa who has left.

  • Hello STOCKEDM133

    Welcome to the Community Forum.

The ATO error codes should give you a description of what needs to be fixed for the report to be accepted.

I believe the CMN.ATO.PAYEVNTEMP.000290 follows with "The Tax Treatment code Working Holiday Maker must have a valid Income Stream Type"

This relates to STP Phase 2. Open the employee card, go to the Payroll Details tab and then the Taxes tab, and select an Income Type for this employee. If you choose Working Holiday Maker you will need to provide the Country of Origin as well.

Please let me know how you go.

    Hi STOCKEDM133

Or more likely based on the wording of the error, you have a WHM tax table linked to this employee (Tax Treatment code is WHM related), however the Income Type is set to Salary and Wages or something else. Set this to WHM and as ChrisMYOB suggested, also add a country code. Though MYOB should not allow you to set WHM as Income Type without setting a country code.

    Regards

    Gavin
