Entitlement not correct after reinstating employee

Hi,

I am trying to reinstate an employee who was terminated in August this year with all his Annual Leave entitlements being paid out at that time. I have deleted his termination date to reinstate him but can see that he has still has a carry over figuure for Annual Leave, Long Service Leave and Sick leave. Shouldn't all entitlements have been cleared once he was terminated, and his entitlements start over as of his new start date?

Thanks,

Con

    Hi ConC,

    Thank you for your post.

While an employee's card can be reinstated, doing so can lead to the Entitlement Balance [Detial] report showing an out-of-balance. This is caused when a termination date is entered on a card - all the leave entitlements from a card's Pay History will be deleted, however, the actual leave history is still within the company file. Adding a new start date makes no difference in this situation.

As for correcting the balances, we would require the following information via private message so the file can be further investigated and potentially repaired by our teams:

    • The impacted employees' name
    • The date of termination - what date was entered and when was that entered
    • The date of reinstatement - when was that termination date removed
    • Serial number
    • Business file name
    • Your name + email
