Help with STP

Good afternoon. We previously had a MYOB online subscription for many years, but we scaled back our business in 2018 and ceased paying ourselves. The company remained but with very little transactions other than holding some investments. At that time, we were not using STP. We made a decision to cease the monthly subscription and went to a desktop version of the software. We are now back contracting through the company and will begin paying ourselves. I am using the most up-to-date desktop version 2025.3.0. Is it possible to operate STP on a desktop version or do we need to go back to the online subscription?

Single Touch Payroll Phase 2 is an online operation due to its requirements with the ATO
Therefore, you are required to move your desktop file online to lodge the STP2 pay events.

Any reason why you moved off the MYOB online subscription?

Hi Chris,We sold our business some years back and retained the company just to hold investments. There was no payroll and inventory anymore and minimal transactions, so we cancelled our subscription and downgraded to an MYOB desktop version. This was before STP began. We now need to upgrade to a subscription and set-up STP for two employees. I think the MYOB Lite subscription should be fine for us. Once I purchase the new subscription, is it easy to upload the file myself? My existing MYOB company file is the lastest desktop version 2025.3.0.

Recommend to send a support request via browser under your company name (top right) and my account, to migrate your existing desktop file to a new MYOB lite subscription.&nbsp;
