stp authoriser

how do I make another user (that has administrator rights) as a STP authoriser to be able to lodge payroll with ato?

  • Hey wayne34,

To let another user lodge STP to the ATO, have them follow the steps from this link. Once done, that should get them all set up and ready to lodge.

    Cheers,

    Hi Doreen

Regarding the Record and Send steps in sending the payroll information to the ATO, does that user's role have to be Administrator?

At this stage, I have Accountant Bookkeeper, Banking, Payroll etc roles, and I'm not able to process the Record and Send steps.

If I follow the steps to add a declarer, MYOB takes me to Set up Single Touch Payroll Reporting, which doesn't seem right because STP is already set up.  I just need to be able to process the Record and Send steps.

    Hi gpritch,

The STP declarer doesn’t need to be an Administrator, having payroll access is enough for that job. What you’re seeing with the Set up Single Touch Payroll reporting screen is right. You just need to click through those prompts so your login gets added as an STP declarer, then you’ll be able to hit Record and Send without it blocking you. Here's a link for more info on how to do this.

    Cheers,
