PAYG on Super Salary Sacrifice

Hi everyone,

 

I have a staff member who wants to salary sacrifice $7000.00 towards his Super.  I have entered the amount against the Salary Sacrifice category, however it is now calculating PAYG for him.

 

Is this correct?  I was under the impression that as it is pre-taxed I will need to pay the whole amount over to his Super and they will tax him the 15%.

    Salary Sacrifice does not attract tax up to a certain amount.

     

    Are you trying to pay that $7000k in a lump sum to them? have they paid salary sacrifice before this, pushing them over the threshold???

    Thanks for your reply.  That is what I thought. No I am paying it all straight to the super clearing house however it was as a result of a withholding variation on his taxes.
