Restricting access to payroll infromation

Hi,

We use MYOB Accountright and have a concern that other staff members have access to payroll information although their payroll access has been taken off.

They need access to bank register to reconcile banks however, the electronic clearing account shows individual pays.

Is there any way that we can leave access to the main bank accounts/credit card accounts and take away access to the electronic clearing account?

If not,  is there another package/system that allows complete confidentiality?

  • Do you use Bank Feeds? If so they won't technically need access to the bank register in order to do the reconciliation.

    Hi KK1991

Thank you for posting and welcome to the MYOB Community Forum.

There are several roles that you can choose from when setting up a user's access. If you need to be specific with what they can access, go to Setup >> User Access >> Go to Manage Roles >>  Click on the name of the user >>  Untick what you don't want the user to have access to. In Banking, tick what you want the user to access only. In the Accounts tab, there are also several options you can tick/untick as well.

Since the user will need to reconcile, it is still possible that they can see the pays since Banking will be accessible to them. There is no option to hide only certain accounts and its transactions.
