SALARY EMPLOYEE - LEAVE ACCRUAL

Hi ~ we have an employee who has come on board with us on Salary basis.  All our other employees are on the Hourly basis.  My question is about leave accrual.  The hourly employees accrual their annual leave at 3.077 hours per pay as per below screenshot.

Our Salary employee is from the UK & said that it works differently there and that he should be starting off with 20 days of leave available at the start of each year (ie Jan 1st) and instead of accruing leave as above, it should be counting back from the 20 days.  Ie if he takes 1 day annual leave, his new balance should be showing that there is 19 days left to be used?

If at the end of the year (Dec 31st) there is a balance of days available they are then carried over to the next year.

I'm not sure if this is at all possible in MYOB?  does anyone have any suggestions?

thanks in advance.

    Hey NATTYMAC,

For salaried employees, you’ll need to set up a new entitlement category. Multiply 20 days by their daily work hours. When setting up, untick “Carry Remaining Entitlement Over to Next Year” and assign the category to the employee. At the end of each year (December 31st), manually review and adjust balances for any unused leave that need carrying forward to ensure they’re accurately accounted for. You'll need to manually transfer the leave balances. You can also check this link for more info. If you still need additional with this, make sure to reach out to our team on Live Chat via our virtual assistant, MOCA.

    Cheers,
