set up super

Hi Myob team,

I wish to set up SUPER payments direct from myob. I have read all the set up notes, and have updated all the super company info.  I have not completed the set up as yet, but just wanted to ask about the transition, when i start paying direct from MYOB. At present its paid via the ATO bpay, by our external Accountant.

Once all our bank details are set up etc, and i authorise the payments in MYOB, do i need to check that it all balances . Do i need to be aware of anything during this change period. ?

many thanks

G

    Hi Gasso,

    Thank you for your post.

When transitioning to making super payments directly from MYOB, it's crucial to check and ensure all transactions match and reconcile with the previous clearing house. This will help mitigate any potential issues before authorizing super payments using the MYOB Pay Super feature. We recommend finishing processing any pending super payments before setting up Pay Super.

Our Help article, Set up Pay Super, has detailed information that you might find useful too.

I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have further questions. I’m happy to assist you.

thank you Princess,  when you say Finishing Processing any pending super payments. what do you mean please.?

At present, they are processed by our external Accountant via the ATO.

Where can i see any pending payments.?.   When i click of Manage Payments or Pay super  in MYOB window, it takes me to a web page, and says i need to be set up. ( i know  this part, and we in middle of doing this).

so, to fill you in, all our super is paid to 30/9/23.  when I get authorised for Super, and i click on PAY SUPER window, will al the transactions pop up like normal, for all  OCT and NOV super due.  ( so  Sept and prior should show up as paid). is  that correct.  I am just trying to get help, and understand the transition, before some thing goes wrong.

    thanks

    Hi Gasso,

Thank you for your response. I'm sorry for the confusion. When I mentioned "finishing processing any pending super payments," I referred to ensuring that any pending or outstanding super payments, particularly those scheduled or in process through your external accountant via the ATO, are completed up until the specified date you mentioned, September 30th, 2023. Ensure that these are all matched and reconciled to your recorded MYOB transactions. Once the setup is finalized, ideally, you should be able to view pending payments or contributions due for October and November.

Please let me know if you have any further questions. I'm here to help in any way I can.

    Cheers,

    Princess

hi Princess , thanks for fast replies.  Also i wish to ask, when i want to set up a SMSF for some staff members,

in the  myob Super  window, where we enter rge ABN and bank bsb details, etc, there is a feild thats says  "ESA"

Do i select on the drop down box,  as " click super" for myob clearing house.??  please confirm.

I  also notice, when prearing this step, it said i dont have Authority.  I know this, as still getting our admin to fix it, but i thought i could still enter all the prep work before hand.

    thanks

    Hi Gasso,

Thank you for your response. If you're unsure about the ESA selection in the MYOB Super window for setting up SMSFs, selecting "Click Super" in the dropdown box for MYOB Clearing House could be the appropriate choice. However, it's always best to confirm this with your employee or trustee/administrator of the self-managed super fund. For more information on setting up SMSF, kindly refer to this Help article: Set up superannuation funds. Regarding the access or authority for processing super, it would be beneficial to coordinate with your administrator to ensure that the authorization is in place before making any substantial entries or submissions.

I hope this helps! Please let me know if you require any further assistance with this. I'm here to help.

thank you for getting back to me Princess.  I know , you send me help links /notes etc. I do read all those, but sometimes , we need more assistance. Hence these posts from me. These feilds are specific to the MYOB system, hence we ask you. An employee would not know what we are taling about " ESA feilds " etc.

If we are using the  PAY Super system thru myob, does that field need to be  " Click Super", or other  please ?

Is there anyone who works with MYOB know this ?

    thanks

    Hi Gasso,

    Thank you for your response.

I completely understand the importance of accurately selecting the Electronic Services Address (ESA) when sending contribution data to the fund. However, we're not permitted to advise or directly influence your selection from the drop-down menu in the ESA. This decision remains within your discretion as it directly pertains to your contributions. To ensure the most accurate and appropriate selection, I would recommend reaching out directly to the fund for clarification regarding the specific ESA selection.

If there's anything else I can help you with, feel free to let me know. I'm here to help.

    Cheers,

    Princess
