Setting up study leave

Hello

I need to set up study leave for an employee to receive as part of their annual review and bonus.  They are to receive 10 days (7.6 hrs x 10 days) for study leave to be taken at their discretion.

I have set up new wages category called Study Leave, ATO Reporting Category - Gross Payments, Rate Multiplied by 1.0 and automatically Adjust Base Hourly.

With setting up the Entitlement Leave - can I create a Study Leave Entitlement set to User Entered Amount Per Per Pay Period and enter the 76 hours manually as a one off ?  This will not accumulate and will be reduced when the employee decided to take a block of leave.

    Hi MC244EE!

Sounds like you’ve pretty much got the Student Leave setup for that employee all sorted, that’s awesome!

As for that employee's leave entitlement, you can go with “User Entered Amount Per Pay Period” as mentioned and add the full amount in all at once. Or, if you’re after something that builds up across the year, pick “Equals 76 hours per year”, just a heads up, this means it’ll slowly accrue instead of giving you the 76 hours upfront.

If you want a bit more info on how to set up entitlements or go through the steps, you can read through this link

    Regards,

Thank you very much Genreve.   I have decided to add the full amount at once, I think that might be cleaner, especially if the employee chooses to take the full two weeks next month.

    Advice is much appreciated.
