SGC not showing on payslip

The Superannuation information has been set up correctly, including the percentages.  The SGC applied correctly last fortnight.  For some reason, it is not showing on the payslip this fortnight.

I enter the amount manually and I receive information that says:  "One or more deduction, superannuation or explense amounts have exceeded their liits.  Click ok to save the changes or cancel to review the amounts".

Please advise.

Regards

Debra Lewis

    Hi Jonlin,

Thank you for your post and welcome to the MYOB Community Forum. I hope you find plenty of useful information.

This would refer to the Limit settings when setting up a Payroll Category. In your case, you may need to check all linked Payroll Categories under the Type: Deduction, Superannuation and Expenses.

We recommend try focusing on 1 employee having the message, go to:

    1. Cards > Card List > Employee Card
    2. Payroll Details > Deductions.
    3. Open a linked Deduction Category and check the Limit of the Category:

You can read up on the limits of the categories by hovering your mouse over them:

This will be a matter of repeating for all linked Superannuation and Employer Expenses.

Note that payroll categories are “Global”, and any limits set up for 1 employee will affect all others linked to the same category. If a limit was set for a specific employee, it's recommended to create a new payroll category for that employee to be linked so that it doesn't affect other employees.

Do let us know how it goes.

    Cheers,

    Shella

I went to deductions and there are none listed and I believe Superannuation is not a deduction.  However has MYOB changed this payroll procedure?

    Regards,

    Jonlin.

    Hi Jonlin Shella_A

You are correct the SGC is not a deduction. It is superannation, so I would just check under you superanntion tab that the Superannuation (expense) has not now had one of the limit boxes ticked somehow.

If it has it is either a phantom thing, or if someone else has access to the file, consider their access levels.

    Hi Jonlin

    Thanks for the response.

Apologized for the late reply. We appreciate your patience with this. I would like to thank you Julie_A_C  for giving some clarifications with this. May we know if the SGC is still not showing on the pay slip? If you need further help, don't hesitate to start a new post and we'll be happy to assist.

Looking forward to hearing from you soon.
    Regards,
    Earl
