Can you do a joint IAS / BAS for two company files
Hi all
two company files - one ABN
Is it possible to generate the BAS from each file and lodge, each one with the ATO (only one ABN) or do I need to combine the two?

Hi Daph1,
Great question! Because there’s only one ABN, the ATO will expect a single BAS/IAS lodged per period for that ABN, not separate lodgements from each company file. How you combine those figures, and which file you use as the actual lodging file, is something your accountant, bookkeeper or tax agent will be best placed to advise on.
