Long Service Leave Accrual

Hello Peeps

seems that our Entitlement Information for Long Service Leave was set to pay Equals at 32.935 hours per year. One of our staff members who accumulates LSL now has questioned why his last two pays haven't accumulated LSL. Is this set-up incorrect and is there any reason why i can't now tick Equals Percentage of Gross Hours?

As this is my first job that has needed to accumulate LSL for an employee, I'm unsure and don't want to just change something and need some input.

Thank you.

  • Hi q_man_snowflake,

Thanks for your post. There are two types of any leave including Long service leave. The first one is age pay items, which are used to pay amounts to employees. A long service leave wage pay item might already exist in MYOB, or you can create it from scratch. Second, leave pay items are used to track the accrual of leave. If you have both hourly and salary-based employees, you'll need to set up one leave-pay item for salaried employees and a separate one for hourly-based employees.

Please check out this helpful article for detailed information on how long service leave is set up. Feel free to write a post if you need further assistance.

    Cheers,

    Jem
