I'm having massive issues when trying to deploy this software to my users.
Context, I manage an AVD and normal workstation fleet via Intune
This application does not allow the delivery via the SYSTEM user context mandated by this platform, it simply hangs in the background without progressing.
Attempted using
-allusers -silent
Any combination of the above, just doesn't progress the install.
I've tried using an invoked session as suggested in this forum - AccountRight release August 3rd - what you need to know | MYOB Community and there is no change.
Absolutely impossible to deploy this software in it's current state.
Same switches above, using an elevated shell window with a normal administrator works fine.
Please fix asap as I am not deploying this to several hundred hosts manually.

Hi jbiskit
Could you please help to answer some questions below which will help us better understand the installation issues with InTune
- Were you using AllUsers (the equivalent of MSI's /AllUsers=1) parameter before for MSI installation?
- If yes, how did you pass the parameters to InTune?
- Could you provide the detailed steps you used to deploy the installation package through Intune?
- If No, how did you install at machine level instead from Intune?
- When you installed using only -silent, were there any errors captured in the logs you could share as well?

Hi Mike,
Through Intune (along with other remote shells that execute as SYSTEM) I've always used the following/qn /norestart ALLUSERS=1
This has typically worked without any issue for the past several years.Through Intune in particular though, this would have been as an MSI wrapped as a Win32 application simply with those as the install command.
Since being forced to use the .exe version, I've been unsuccessful in any SYSTEM context deployment using a combination of '-silent -allusers' or simply just '-allusers'
In every instance, I can see the process just sit there in the background, failing to proceed.
As this is in SYSTEM context, there is no UI visible to me, even when using PSEXEC to execute as SYSTEM.Are you able to advise exactly which logs you'd like me to review?
EDIT:
It should be noted that using '-allusers' as a local user, not SYSTEM works perfectly fine, but this is just not a feasible or realistic solution if this is expected to be deployed at scale.- The_Doc19 days agoUltimate Cover User
Hi Mike_MYOB , jbiskit
We host 1000s of users on cloud terminal server platforms - many are MYOB users - interesting I spoke with our tech guy who handles problems with MYOB - and he told me he has been using my suggested hack for years without problem to install the PC version to ALLUSERS and the msi...... why this is important is that he came to me asking where the .msi is for PC Edition 2026.6....
I gave him the following information last week as an update
and he has just confirmed, contrary to my experience further down this post - that it worked fine for a terminal server client this morning installing the PC Edition 2026.6 for ALLUSERS.
We have an internal MYOB staff server that I am administrator for - I will attempt an ALLUSER installation as per the screenshot above, tomorrow, and see if it works.
As to why it didn't work my clients server - any thoughts - it seems to be intermittent.
