Go online from AccountingRight PC Edition

Due to the proposed changes as from 17 June, I contacted MYOB on 4 June and decided to go online with their AccountingRight Plus.  I uploaded the company file as directed by salesperson over the phone and was told it would take 3 -5 days for completion of data transfer. I received a confirmation email from DFR team afterwards. Currently I can still use our PC offline file, and as advised by the salesperson, will need to manually add new entries to online files when it's ready to use.

 

We haven't heard from MYOB since. Now I keep minimal use of the offline file, only to enter invoices that we have to do. 

 

I contacted MYOB this morning, sales transferred me to DFR team. No answering yet, been waiting more than two hours now. 

 

I want to know if the online file will be ready for us before 17 June? If not, what happens?

 

We will use Server Edition for our other two small files, we only use them once a month.

    Hey Song​ 

    Once you upload the company file online from your main computer, you'll be able to sign in to the file from another desktop - you won't need to upload it on each desktop to be able to access it online.

    If you open up the AccountRight software on another computer, on the welcome window click on Open > Online and sign in from there, you should be able to see your file listed online.

    Like you I have been trying to organise this for several days now and am not getting any satisfaction. I wonder how MYOB retains their clients when contacting them is nigh on impossible. I am unable to transfer my files online as a window pops up saying I need a subscription. I pay a monthly subscription and as far as I can see I am up to date with payments. The literature about transferring online says that there won't be an additional cost. I am frustrated and confused.

    I am in the same situation of having to go online as of 17th June. 

    No one seems to be able to answer my question will you be able to read only your  company file offline after the 17th June.

    I can't even get through to sales to discuss online subscriptions they are to busy and just hang up. Technical team couldn't answer my question about being able to read company file offline after the 17th June either.

    Hi Song​ 

    The owner of the file can do this - there should be an option in the File menu to do this. They will need to have an online access (email address and password) to do this. Then will be prompted to set up 2FA.

    Sorry I don't understand this - I tried, but nothing there.

     

    I got to talk to MYOB on Friday, they said that data migration was not completed due to high volume of workflow. This morning I checked My account again, still nothing there.

     

    It's been more than one week since we uploaded file. 

     

    Can anyone from MYOB help?

    Hi Song​,

    Did you get a case number when you sent the file? For the time it is taking - they might be changing you to full online web based version. I would post another response with a case number if you can.

    Hi Catherine560​ are you the owner of your file? - only an owner can put the file online. Also you need to be doing this from where same computer where the data resides. (just in case its on an different computer)
