  • Hi Folks

The Registry hack works every - but you have to be administrator - open registry....... if not administrator you will be asked for admin password.

    Go to

HKCU [current_user]   and drill down to software/classes/ ... find entry myob-arl and delete or rename to .old

Close registry - do not delete, change this entry in any other hive - only current_user

    Close registry - MYOBs ......

Some people argue it doesn't work - it has worked consistently for me, my clients, my server with multiple users....... consistently it fixes it.

The only difference needed was going into a users logon on my server - opening registry by inputting administrator username and password - sometimes I had to change this users properties to administrator - go back in as this user then do the registry fix..... sometimes only 1 user on this server needed the registry hack... however, in 100% cases this has fixed this problem.

This has now happened twice with rollout 2026.4 and then 2026.5

On my home laptop I am the administrator so hack worked 100% first time.

Folks, this hack seem to work every time - if it isn't working for you it is a permission problem for registry changes not that the hack doesn't work.

However, if it doesn't work for you, sorry haven't had this case yet; perhaps a total re-install might work but I would delete all Registry entries of myob-arl - a thought.

Also maybe try turning your ad blocker off and test.

We had a computer that defaulted to Internet Explorer (who new that was still a thing!)

Had to change default browser to Edge in Windows settings.
