Hi RyanMH
Thank you for the information. Just to confirm, did you try to upload a local company file online when the error occurred, or were you trying to download anything from online to the locla computer?
Normally to place a file online for the first time, you'd need to open the local company file first using the Administrator user ID, then go to File > Go online, enter the email address (requires online owner access) and the password to upload the file online. Were these the steps you took?
If the file was uploaded online in the past but work was done in the local copy instead, since they are different copies of the same file you can back up the local file then restore it online to overwrite the online file. Files with the same serial number and company file ID (under Help > About) are copies of the same file. For the existing online file listed for you, you do need to open it in order to check its file ID, at the user ID Administrator step, I'd suggest leaving the password field blank as that's the default setting.
Please do let us know how you go or if you have any further questions.
Yes it has worked - backed up the local file but this time restored it online.
When STP reporting comes in I am only going to report online every 2 weeks for STP only and will continue to keep entering our daily work activities on the local file.
Can I just report STP online and still do all other work entries on the local file - Does MYOB have a way that the 2 files local and online sync each other or do I have to restore every time.
