Also registering a complaint regarding this. Timing out in 20 minutes bad but also its timing out before 20 minutes! How are we supposed to work on MYOB and admin needed to do things /other programs similtaneously when it times out! Timed out less 10 minutes before could complete payroll process. Times out from desktop online switching from desktop to web version. Needs to change asap

  • This feature is seriously frustrating!  20minutes is WAY to short!  At least give us 45minutes.

I move around between 3 different programs.  EVERY single time i need to go into MYOB, I have to re log in.   It is RIDICULOUS!

    Hi JB_72,

We totally get it – every second counts when you're running a busy business, and protecting your hard work is just as crucial. That's why we've added an extra layer of security by asking you to sign back in with just your password after 20-30 minutes of inactivity. This is the best way to keep your business data safe and follows the top industry practices recommended by the ATO.

We've also made some improvements to make your experience even better:

    • If you’ve MYOB open in multiple tabs, activity in any tab will count as activity for all tabs. So, if you're active in one tab, you won't get logged out.
    • We've introduced an “Are you still there?” prompt before the system times out. This way, you can keep working without any unexpected logouts.

    Cheers,

    MYOB

That may be fine for bookkeepers using the web version but for those of that prefer Accountright we have to keep a MYOB file open and then switch to a new file to avoid the time out and signing back in.  Really not very efficient..

Then there are the clients that have multiple files so I have to sign in separately 4 or 5 times at once..
