MYOB files suddenly not accessible

I am having trouble logging in to one of the MYOB files in Account Right that i work with.

 

it's all of a sudden become 'read only' and tells me that the file is not CHECKED IN and that i need to check in the file to be able to use.

 

what does CHECK IN mean - i have searched your help menus but can't find any reference to it 

this is the second MYOB file now that i can't access since the new updates came in.

 

i have tried ringing MYOB several times but am on hold for so long that i can't keep holding as I have other appointments etc.

Can you assist me please

    Hi LibbyG​,

     

    Sorry you’ve had to spend so much time on hold trying to get answers. A good first check is to see whether the company file is on the latest version. If the file is up to date, you should still be able to open it as read only. If it isn’t up to date, you’ll need to download the latest version and open the file from there so it can be upgraded. Here's a link in getting the latest version. You can also check this FAQ post, which includes the steps on how to open read-only files.
