You’re spot-on about being able to keep working on your old file offline, and the best way to carry on is by making a backup of your current company file and then restoring it locally. This lets you keep ticking along. Just a quick heads-up: every company file uses up one CDF slot on your serial number, so if you’re starting a fresh file, you’ll need a free slot available. As for the license file, all you need is your serial number and client ID to activate and we can you with your old file, so you can skip hunting around for long-lost discs.
