USERS ACCESS READ ONLY IN ACCOUNTRIGHT

Hi , can we s-onlyet up users that can only view the reports which means read only . thanks

  • Hi tksadvise

A read-only user can be set up in AccountRight by going to Setup>>User Access>>Selecting their user ID (on the left-hand) and tick the option Read Only (right-hand side).

Read Only greyed out? You are not able to make a user with an Administrator role read only. If this is occurring untick Administrator, select another user role i.e. Accountant/Bookeeper before selecting Save then you would be able to make that user read only.

It should be noted that the company file role determines what features and access a user does have to a company file. If you are needing to review the features of a user role select the Manage Roles tab (top left). More information on roles can be found on Help Article: Set up roles

Let us know how you get on and if you require further assistance.

    Hi tksadvise

The information provided is for both company files stored locally or online. In terms of making the file read-only from a company file user access point of view, it is the same process.
