Our accountant has asked me to bring the Electronic Payment clearing account back to zero and I need to know the best way to go about it. This entry was processed in December 2025 and I have closed off for the financial year. What is the best way to bring this account back to zero?

Good question. If this balance is coming through from December 2025 and that financial year has already been closed, the usual way to bring the Electronic Clearing account back to zero is to have your accountant post a journal dated 01/07 in the current financial year to clear the brought-forward balance.
We’d still recommend checking with your accountant on the best way to do this.
