AccountRight not exporting to Excel

Hi,

Started receiving a message today when attempting export to Excel, which is something I do on a daily basis.

Error

C:\Users\Public\Documents\MYOB\AccountRight\Current\Reports\Spreadsheet\GENJRLS.XLT

Urgently need help. This is a process I have been doing on a daily basis until today. It is a big part of my reporting procedure.

Thanks, Bronwyn

Hi BronwynHamster , normally that message indicates that the file of that name is missing or damaged. MYOB uses Excel template files to create the report.

On my computer the spreadsheet templates are stored in C:\Users\<myloginname>\Documents\MYOB\AccountRight\Current\Reports\Spreadsheet. Can you check and see if the file exists on your computer, and it can be opened? (just double-click on it)

    Thank you so much Mike!

For the novices around (that would definitely be me) OneDrive takes over your PC if you let it. I experienced major issues when I first got my new desktop and laptop late last year as I did not want the two PCs to sync. Which is what OneDrive did as I hadn't turned it off. Lost many hours of setting these up. Then, a few days ago, Windows performed an update and asked if I wished for it to backup automatically. Which I gleefully accepted. Little did I know by accepting Windows turned on sync PCs again. Next morning I woke up to my Outlook having lost 4 months of emails (my Desktop had synced to my rarely used laptop) and issues with MYOB/Excel also commenced. OneDrive keeps all documents and other items in the Cloud, not on my C drive. When I turned off OneDrive on my Desktop after retrieving my Outlook.pst file that also left my C:\Users\<myloginname>\Documents\MYOB\AccountRight\Current with no sub folders or templates. These were all located on the OneDrive documents folder.

In summary, I copied the Excel templates from the OneDrive \Documents\MYOB\AccountRight\Current\Reports\Spreadsheet into the Dropbox then dropped back into my C: drive and voila I can again export from MYOB to Excel.

Truly appreciate you taking the time out of your day! You have been a major help.

    Kind regards, Bronwyn

I have performed a quick and full repair, cleared the cache to no avail. Same message is appearing. This is very crippling for my business.
