I have found over the last week or so that the bank feeds are automatically searching for transactions to approve to. While sometimes they get it right, some are incorrect and just approve to an amount that is the same or just approve and create its own transaction. Can I turn this option off??? We are finding that we have to go over all the transactions in the reconciling section of Bank Feeds.

Apologies for the delayed response. You can’t turn off smart recon completely, but you can turn off the auto-matching.
If you’re using AccountRight, go to Setup > Preferences > Banking and untick Auto-allocate bank transactions to outstanding MYOB invoices or bills. That’ll stop AccountRight from automatically matching those transactions for you.

Thanks for sharing your experience, there isn't an option to switch off smart-matching. Our team are aware some users are having issues with matching transactions and are working on a improvement. I will share updates here when I have more information.
