Banking reconcilliation changed.

Hi,

I was doing bank reconcilliations yesterday and couldn't get it to reconcile, tried three times, gave up, had a break, couldn't figure it out.  I went back to the last reconcilliation - was all Ok at the time, had printed it all out but when checking back on MYOB there was a significant transaction missing which is why the current one wouldn't reconcile. It had been deleted after reconciling - is there any way to see when that actually happened? I've done the security audit trail report and that transaction doesn't show up. It was definitely there in the previous banking/reconcilliation.

    Hi Bigcow,

     

    Thanks for reaching out. It’s a bit odd that the Journal Security Audit report isn’t showing any entries for the deleted transactions. It normally tracks actions such as adding, editing, reversing and deleting transactions, including who made the change and when.

     

    If you’re sure those transactions had already been reconciled, I’d recommend completing a future-dated reconciliation to safely reset reconciliation for any affected periods.

    Thank you.  It had been reconciled, I had the report showing the transaction. I un-did that reconciliation, put in the transaction and reconciled it. The following ones were fine after that. I may be expecting too much of the audit reports - there's one that lists who and when MYOB was logged in to and one that lists transaction but nothing like - reconciliation un-done or $$$$$ deleted.  Thank you!
